My Week...

My friend Anne-Grethe has been visiting from N.S.W.

We haven't seen each other for 13 years, so there has been non-stop catching up...
The weather has been perfect here, so we have been walking every day.

Mountain Ash, just beautiful... Sherbrooke Forest.

Feeling small...very small.

Magical tree ferns...

Colours of Autumn...

Talk about colours...I think the colours of Autumn are having a direct impact on my work...
Below are a series of prints I did last week...the theme is "FRUIT".

Mono prints, using oils...

Hi To everyone that commented here...as you can see I lost all comments when I fixed up the dates!!! I did appreciate them all. :)
The motto of this post is never start a post one week, add to it, change it and then post it the next...because the dates will be all wrong!!!

Love the forest shots. The set of monoprints have a spontanaeity to them that I love. I think I need to get my paints out today......

Autumn definitely has an impact on my work too. Gorgious rich monoprints, Jo. How wonderful to share forest walks with an old friend.

...what is ever lost? the comments are inside you! Sometimes i get such great comments on my blog i want to post them to a place they will be seen always--but then they pop up inside me and speak again.

Its like old friends whom you can talk to after ten years or not having talked for a few years, they're full with our old talks, and we just pick up the threads... no loss

love your forest, its enchanting and your reds are lovely.

Autumn is my favorite season, still each seasonal change is exciting. I love our spring crocuses and the sounds of the city with spring fever. The colors you've used are rich and comforting. What could be more natural than to create with the flow of the seasons.
